Care Package Instructions

  • Shipments arrive Tuesday + Thursday VIA NEXT DAY COURIER.

    We use the best packaging on the market to ensure food stays compact, cool and leak proof.

    All deliveries are handled by couriers who operate independently from aancestr. Couriers are advised to leave your food in a safe place if nobody is home.

    Ensure you have tracked your item and made necessary arrangements for receiving. We do not hold responsibility for the item once it has left our jurisdiction. We carefully select couriers to ensure traceability and great service. Some drivers do malfunction. Once an order has been collected by a courier, aancestr is no longer responsible for any delay, damage, temperature change, spillage, or mishandling that may occur during transit. Delivery-related concerns should be directed first to the courier service handling your order. We will assist in investigating and resolving issues where possible.

  • Your delivery comes in a recyclable box with a premium non-toxic and biodegradable drain-safe ice pack to keep food fresh. Once your package has arrived, transfer all goods to refrigerator immediately.

    All our products require refrigeration. Our containers consist of bagasse non toxic for boxes, glass jars and BPA-free lids, recyclable plastic.

    These refrigerated items must be kept at a temperature of 5 degrees celsius or below

  • Food tastes better hot! All items may be reheated on the stove top with an appropriate pot or pan and stirred to bring up to temperature. Soups, stews, and porridges may need an additional splash of water as stirred to loosen.

    Use a stainless steel or cast iron pan. Avoid teflon non stick pans. Remove any fresh salads/ferments before heating.
